As any good Buckminster Fuller fan should know, to get the famed
tetrahedral stability, you'd need *four*, not three...  ;-)

Regarding your main point....  In terms of pragmatic and intellectual
synergies, I agree that long-term interpersonal partnerships involving
more than two individuals might well be optimal....  However, this
doesn't really matter much, because human emotional tendencies are
strong, and due to the nature of human emotions interpersonal
partnerships with >2 members are just not very stable....
