Hosting at home is not cost-effective, especially if reliability is a
concern. I would look into a colo with a RAID (these start at
about $30/month -- SunFire X2100 M2 or a Dell with a DRAC 5 board
allow you to completely control it from anywhere on the planet), 
Amazon's S3/EC2, or roll you own using HA and http://www.ultramonkey.org/
