I strongly suggest that if people are going to continue on with this
topic that they follow Damien's advice and do some research starting
with the Wikipedia article.  Then they will realize that BCE and CE are
not some recent invention arising out of some political correctness
conspiracy.

I am somewhat surprised that there has not been more discussion about
how language usage and related items such has dates, measures, etc have
changed over time for all kinds of reasons (some known and some not
known).  This is the after all a list Extropians and if there is a
better way to do something then I suspect that it will have support
here.  Using 2008CE makes sense to me.  And what about the proposed use
of PNO?  At one time some Extropians were computing the date and putting
the PNO value in the headers of their emails.
