Promises promises.
I've been hearing of new kinds of planes forever. Nothing ever gets done and 
airplanes we see today are basically the same from the fifties, only bigger 
and with computers. Worse yet, until recently we had supersonic passenger 
flights and now they're gone.
We have promises of hypersonic stratospheric scramjets, ramjets or whatever 
and nothing gets done.
Even the Boeing 797 is only an internet rumour
