In Italy, religious schools are often much better - and, surprise
surprise, way more expensive (even though a few exist which are still
expensive but are rather specialised in difficult, as opposed to
gifted and affluent, students).
This is why many atheist patents do not think twice about opting for
them, especially Jesuit-managed ones. Those who are more on the
"militant atheist" side often rationalise such choice as "know thy
enemy", etc.
In fact, I studied law myself in the Catholic University of Milan, and
went - I must say, with some curiosity - through three theology exams.
Speaking of one's children, and the choice Italian parents have on
whether they should have one hour per week of "religious education",
my general idea is that since you cannot shield them anyway from
monotheistic propaganda, it is probably best that you have them
vaccinated as soon as possible... ;-)
