I am not sure that empathy statistical distribution reflects political
ideologies. Often, ideological "humanitarianism" is a way to overcompensate
the lack thereof in practical circumstances.

In any even, even rabid libertarian-objectivists usually have nothing
against philanthropy - as long as it is not "legally mandated", that is...
