Well to be honest in 1986 I was well beyond my mid 20s.  Your comment brings to mind something a friend told me recently about teaching the son to drive about 5 years ago.  It was much easier and the son learned more quickly than his sister who was about 4 years older than him.  When the parent remarked to the son about how much easier it was to teach him than the older sister the son replied it was because he had played so many video games including some which involved driving virtual vehicles.  It would be an interesting study to see if those who learn to drive more easily due to playing video games have a higher or lower accident rate.
