Except that if Gordon is responding to posters who have responded to
him, then there should be a waiver on the limit.  If no one is
responding to a poster, and he then over-posts, well, ok, shut him
down.  But you don't want to censor an ongoing conversation just
because it's getting tedious to you.  Sometimes a particularly
vigorous thread just has to peter out in tediousness.

I don't know that I understand Gordon's posiition.  He says I still
don't, and I'm willing to take him at his word.  Mostly though, I find
him eminently civil -- as he has reminded us -- and (to me) that
counts for a lot.  Gordon has my respect and I don't think he should
be shut down, certainly not on a "technicality".
