For instance, what happens if two weeks before the Nov 2010 election, the conservative incumbent's teenage intern shows up with a semen stain on his tie? The alternative will be a guy who won under extremely suspicious circumstances.
Suppose something weird happens on one of the races that counts, like the presidency in 2012, and we have a really suspicious looking (but conceivably possible) result, where the paperless e-voting disagrees with the paper absentee ballots. Then imagine the present occupant of the WH saying that this is fraud and refuses to vacate the seat.
What do we do then?
This is dangerous as all hell.
