Oh goodness, BillK, there is so much to say here.  I can see why Alcor would
want to carry out this bizarre and ghoulish act, and I must reluctantly
agree: if they refunded Richardson's money to his heirs, then Alcor forever
motivates other heirs to other cryonicists to intentionally fail to carry
out the wishes of the deceased, hoping to get money from Alcor.

Richardson's death illustrates that contracts should be set up to allow
*any* person to collect a monetary reward from the estate of the cryonicist
by contributing to the successful suspension upon her demise, with bonuses
awarded for alacrity.
