According to catholic dogma, Jesus actually died, remain dead for
three days, and resuscitated in flesh and bones, even though he was
somewhat "transfigured" after the experience.

This might refer to the fact that actually he was not really the same
person, but simply a body without qualia simply behaving in fashion
similar to his former self... ;-)
