There's a fundamental problem with that type of thing.  Anything where you
aren't
planning on returning to Earth, but where your trip does have adverse
consequences
for those who remain (like radioactive exhaust during launch), doesn't
shield you
from people who can predict these consequences and prevent you from
launching
even once.  Given the resources required, keeping it a secret while also
getting the
spaceship actually built is not possible.  If you try, the secret will be
discovered by
such people after you start bending metal, probably around the time you
start test
firing the engine's components.  (That, or it will remain in the planning
stages
forever, and thus fail to actually build the spaceship.)

Plan on returning, plan on giving those you leave behind no reason to stop
you, or
plan on never leaving in the first place.  Any other plan is guaranteed to
fail.
