In fact, I have had to figure out how to do a great many things on my own,
for want of teachers, books, or other people to copy.  Not everything, of
course, and the exact list depends on what you'd classify as an "example".

It's a lot easier with examples or instruction.  But, for me, it's not
impossible
without.
