Well, that is a great example of why everyone needs to learn sign, altho
that wasn't ASL that is military sign. But isn't that clear to people who
don't know sign? Stop. Look. 2 men over there. Disable them only. Rally. Now
go.
Very concise, and elegant. ASL gives entire concepts with the context
usually obvious or embedded in the sign.

The reason things like the scene in

have become such a stereotype is because they work.  (In theory - though
this
comic and #413 illustrate the most common problem in practice.)
