I suspect that if they are interested in the vaguest chance of going on
with that for any length of time, they should be quite in favour of cutting
programmes such as military parties abroad, if the accounting at
http://costofwar.com is accurate... :-)

My concern is that fundamental reserch and education (let alone things such
as space programmes) might go along down the drain...
