As Max put it, being frozen is the second worst thing that can happen to a
person.

Cryonics may be useful as a backup plan, but for most people, a better
primary plan is to live (for whatever state of being one deems to constitute
"living", and not merely "existing") as long as possible, in the hopes that
aging gets defeated (or effectively so) before means such as cryonics
become necessary.  Even better if one actively assists such efforts -
whether via money, labor, or by some other means.

Granted, that's quite a gamble.  That's why cryonics is there for those
who no longer have this option.
