Algaculture has a long history in human food production, and with
today's embedded controllers you could even run a roof photobioreactor
effectively while scrubing CO2/NOx and possibly recycle nitrogen and
phosphates. Of course there's the problem of pharmaceutical load in
human urine, nevermind the yuck factor (somehow it's okay to put
urine on compost or water plants with 1:10 diluted urine, but not if
you use it in algaculture, except for animal food).
