Almost a gigasecond ago, 31 years to the day, Stanislav Petrov choose to disregard warnings of an imminent nuclear attack, correctly guessing they were a computer error. By doing that he likely saved the world as we know it. Let's celebrate those who stand up to reduce existential risk!
