And that's the real problem. Long sighted politicians are getting
tossed aside by both sides, in favor of whoever can make the most
extreme hype right now.
A case for moderation, and for long sightedness, could win a lot of
the voters being turned off by both parties. If, say, the
Transhumanist Party were to try to seriously field candidates, pushing
moderate views with medium-to-long term plans could be its #1
advantage. Not running a presidential candidate right now, and
instead sticking to state and Congressional races for an election
cycle or two, would be a good way to demonstrate this (build up
