In the first place walking is a poor analogy for thinking. In the second
place speed won't help us do anything if we don't have it and we don't,
computers do. That's why I said as a practical matter in the future it's
very important that AIs think humans are conscious, but it won't matter in
the slightest if humans believe AIs are conscious or not because humans
will no longer have the power to act on those beliefs.
