I'm not surprised that factors other than population density are more
important given that China, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and
even Bangladesh have MUCH lower COVID-19 deaths than the USA in both
absolute numbers and per capita. The three countries with the highest virus
deaths are the USA, Brazil and the UK, and all three have a similar type of
leader right now, totalitarian and dumb.
