I got the Prevnar 13 vaccination, it provided immunity to 13 different
strains of the bacteria that can produce Streptococcus pneumonia; it
provides no protection against viral pneumonia but the most common cause of
that is seasonal flu and fortunately there is a vaccine for that too.
COVID-19 also attacks the lungs so without a vaccine for that the best we
can do is to see to it that our lungs are as healthy as possible if it
should show up.
