I don't think anyone is disputing that alive > dead.  Using the
node/network analogy, cryopreservation posits that nodes can be temporarily
disconnected from the network (administratively downed, if you will) then
be later reconnected.

Are you your brain/hardware or the pattern/software runs on top of that
lower level abstraction?  If you are sure the two cannot be separated, then
cryopreservation is likely not in your future.
