News story about a family who claims a stalker put an Apple airtag in or on
their clothing somehow, then used it to stalk them at Disneyland.  I knew
there were RFID tags, I have one, but I didn't know they have a range of a
coupla hundred meters.  That's what Apple is claiming.  They only cost about
30 bucks, cool.

 

Idea:  we create a network of amateur crime fighters, volunteers.  We sell
the proles these trackers, prole hides it somewhere in her car.  She drives
to San Francisco, parks, within minutes car is stolen.  She calls me, I post
the RFID of the stolen wheels, volunteers everywhere start pinging, track
the car, catch the bastard!  San Francisco DA lets him go.

 

OK well, the last part of that idea needs work, but in the meantime. at
least we get the fun of catching the bastard.
