Cool Keith so you are the father of the Matrioshka Brain?

I can think of some reasons why, or rather applications where, the slow speed of light wouldn't matter.  The modern one would be BitCoin mining.  It isn't reliant on passing signals between nodes.

Did Perry already know about the overheating problem for the inboard nodes?
