You're thinking of after uploading is a thing. I'm thinking of how we
make it a thing.
I have no problem if someone doesn't want to upload when it's an option.
I have a big problem with someone wanting to block the development of
uploading.
There are parallels with genetic engineering, as well as stem-cell
research. If you want to decline to take advantages of the things a
technology enables, no problem. But the development of these
technologies has been greatly hindered by people who not only don't want
it for themselves, but don't want anyone else to have it either.
The perception of something before it exists has a much greater impact
than the perception of it once it does exist.
