I get suspicious when I see stock price graphs that look like this one:

https://stockanalysis.com/quote/otc/ARRNF/

This company might have put out a phony story about finding a coupla billion
tons of REEs, considering the flatly false comment in the second paragraph
".2.34 billion metric tons of some of the rarest materials on earth." Nah,
they aren't rare materials. They are rarely refined however, but that's
different. We have the ore, that stuff isn't rare at all. You can be sure
that while the price is up and the EPA is on vacation, they will be getting
unconditional irrevocable three-year waivers to set up refining facilities.

Good chance the stockholders came up with the idea, raced up the price of
the stock, started dumping it when the price hit 65, investors noticed and
followed suit, dumping their stock too. Settled back to reasonable numbers.

There are some other howlers in that article: ". ushering in a potential 80
trillion dollar opportunity by 2030." eh, no. Do let me assure you, that
won't happen. It would be nice if it does however: that would get us toward
John's vision of unimaginable wealth. I have a pretty good imagination when
it comes to unimaginable wealth. I could achieve Simon bar Sinister's
vision, and rule the world. Either rule the world, or a nice fast
comfortable car, one of those would be good.

Playing in the ideas futures game trains the mind in spotting bullshit.
Stock holders will put stuff in the comment section designed to influence
others to buy his stock at a high price or sell him theirs at a low one.
This American Rare Earth nonsense was very easy to spot. In general,
playing for money on future memes is good for the brain.
