Ben you know me: I do love hilarity in all its marvelous forms.  I will accept verbal clumsiness in exchange for hilarity, or even introduce clumsiness and ambiguity, just to achieve hilarity.  But the rest of the time, those mercifully rare occasions when sobriety is more appropriate, on those occasions an attitude of somber gravitas can be convincingly faked by me, at least temporarily.
