*Republican governors and state legislators are NOT trying to expand the
economic safety net, instead they are trying to dismantle it even faster
than Trump's Federal government is. They don't have even a glimmer of a
plan about what to do in a 1000 days or less when a few thousand people
become trillionaires but simultaneously, for the first time in their lives,
tens of millions of respectable middle-class Americans suddenly become
permanently unemployable. Compounding the problem is the fact that on the
whole state legislators tend to be even stupider than federal
legislators. And that is saying something! *
