*AI is currently the most powerful technology in the world and I think it's
safe to say it always will be. And in regard to AI China has one huge
advantage over the USA, it generates more than 2.3 times as much electrical
power as the USA and is growing at a rate of 21% a year. In 2024 alone
China added 429 GW, the USA added 37 GW. These days just one AI data center
can use more electricity than a medium sized country.  *

*Meanwhile He Who Must Not Be Named canceled a $6 billion wind farm off the
coast of New England even though it was 80% complete that would have
generated 704 MW of clean electrical power, he said wind farms were "making
whales crazy".*

*I could be wrong but I don't believe China winning the AI race will
produce a singularity that is more comfortable to human beings than one in
which the US wins. *
