I heard this, but I don’t understand it. I see nothing in the constitution which empowers POTUS to cancel a power-generation project (OK right there weren’t any power generation projects in those days.) Just get any circuit-riding black-robe-clad bench jockey anywhere in the US to block that order, then proceed finishing the project.
Block that in court, then private investors come in with the rest of the money (20% of 6 billion, I am getting about 1.5 billion) finish the project then we get 704 MW of clean electrical power.
Another thing I don’t get: if it is a 700 MW facility and it is 80% complete, why wasn’t it built such that if it stopped at 80% complete, it would now producing about 500 MW of power? So mysterious is this. And if so, why is that last 20% the other 200 MW so critical? I don’t get it.
Building out that last 20% sounds like the kind of investment opportunity I was posting about earlier. We could make a cubic buttload of money with far less risk and investment.
