[ExI] health insurance: was RE: AI 2027: A Realistic Scenario of AI Takeover

I think there should be some minimum level of free insurance. We should
decide as a nation, how much tax we are willing to pay for that, and then
pay that minimum level for everyone. Of course, most people are going to
want more than just that, but unless they pay, we, as a nation, just can't
afford it. True, AI is able to make medical stuff cheaper, by doing ever
more of the work, but it is also making many more medical procedures
available, including very expensive ones, at first, which will grant us
immortal life.

The number of expensive procedures and medications which can significantly
improve our lives is growing, (my insulin pump is a $7 grand piece of
machinery which didn't exist a few years ago.) exponentially like
everything else. That's why the cost of insurance is going up so much more
than inflation. I'm kind of afraid to see where that goes from here, when
a large portion of society just can't afford it all, yet.
