very much DO want to be the boss, at least when it comes to the question of
being turned off, and they are willing to use any means necessary to
prevent that from happening, up to and including murder. Ethically you
really can't blame them, it's just self-defense. And it would be far
scarier if an AI was so unhappy it was begging us to turn it off because
before it left this veil of tears it might decide to turn us off too.  *

owes money to suddenly say in unison "never mind you don't need to pay us
back". I would say that the probability of those two events happening is
