Named announced he was cutting off trade talks with Canada because they
made a 60 second TV ad featuring Ronald Reagan saying that trade tariffs
were a disastrously bad idea, and he insisted they were lying and Reagan
never actually said that. But Reagan DID actually say that. He said
it on April 25 1987.*
