The story of the medical clinic says something very telling about humanity
in general, and why the aliens haven't landed yet.
Or do we imagine things would play out any differently in North America if
Starfleet showed up with a prefab clinic with tricorders and replicators,
defended by a small platoon of idealistic young ensigns with phasers and
shield generators?
