I haven’t reached the cautious optimism stage yet.  But my experience in the last year demonstrated that doctors use AI bigtime.  If one has an exotic or unusual condition, I advise not going to a research or university hospital.  Reason: professors are eager to train young doctors to spot the often misdiagnosed exotic or unusual.  So they bring their students, who are using AI, and consequently a patient gets asked the same questions, worded exactly the same way a hundred times (medical students are great memorizers (we did this to ourselves (by making medical treatment all about learning a thousand Latin-based terms.)))

 

Advice: catch something boring and mainstream, such as a routine clogged arteries, that sorta thing, that they know exactly how to treat and nobody cares much about learning about.  They just treat it, as opposed to having an interesting oddball condition, that the medics want to study, using all the new AI tricks medics have these days.
