*A keen grasp of the obvious. One of the key goals of Donald's second term
of office is revenge, and his Justice Department is a good way for him to
get it. *

*A coup d'état is by definition a sudden, illegal takeover of a government
by a small group of political insiders who force out the current leaders or
attempt to change the results of a free election. And that fits the
description of what happened on January 6, 2021 when a man that had lost a
presidential election gathered together a huge mob and told them to march
to the Capitol Building and get the people inside to change the results of
a free election. And if it wasn't for the actions of the vice president it
would've been a successful coup d'état. *

*It is a coup d'état if that particular spear carrying thug is part of a
mob led by the President of the United States that overwhelmed the capital
police and made its way inside the Senate chamber while his fellow mob
members smeared their feces on the walls of the capital while carrying
confederate flags. That had not happened before even during the Civil War!
We used to be able to brag that we had always had a peaceful transfer of
power after an election, but we can't say that anymore. And to any lover of
the Constitution that should be unforgivable, but not for you, Donald is
and will always be Mr. Perfect.*

*Well let's see what Elon Musk's Grok has to say about your claim. *

*ME: Somebody told me that on January 6, 2021 "the senators and congressman
had already evacuated the capital building by the time the protestors came
in the door" is that correct?*

*Grok: "**No, that is not correct.* Rioters (often called protesters in
some accounts) first entered the U.S. Capitol building *while* members of
Congress were still inside conducting the electoral vote
certification. *Evacuation
of senators, representatives, and Vice President Mike Pence occurred *
*after** the initial breaches, not before*.

Key points from contemporaneous reporting and detailed timelines
(Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, Newsweek, BBC, USA Today, and
others):

   - Outer barricades were breached earlier (around 1–1:45 p.m.), with
crowds advancing on the building. Office buildings nearby were ordered
evacuated around 1:26 p.m., but the Capitol itself (where Congress was
   meeting) had not been emptied.
   - Rioters first forced entry into the Capitol building itself
around *2:11–2:15
p.m.* (breaking windows and doors on the northwest side/Senate wing and
elsewhere). Video and security footage confirm people climbing through
smashed windows and streaming inside shortly after 2 p.m.
   - At that moment, the joint session had split into House and Senate
chambers to debate an objection to Arizona’s electors. Proceedings were
still underway. Pence was presiding in the Senate; lawmakers were present
   and debating.
   - Evacuation orders followed the breaches:
      - Around 2:13 p.m., Secret Service moved Pence from the Senate floor
(he remained in the complex initially).
      - The Senate was called into recess shortly after the first entries;
members were ordered out around 2:20–2:30 p.m.
      - The House adjourned around 2:20 p.m.; evacuation of the House
chamber and gallery continued into the 2:40s, with some members still
inside or nearby when rioters reached doors and the Speaker’s
Lobby. Ashli
Babbitt was shot at about 2:44 p.m. while attempting to enter
that area as
      lawmakers were still being cleared.
   - *Some members and staff were trapped or delayed inside* offices,
galleries, or corridors for longer; others were moved to secure locations
(including tunnels to office buildings or, for leadership, Fort McNair).
Congress did not fully reconvene until later that evening after the
   building was cleared.

In short:* the building was breached with Congress still in session inside*.
Members were ordered to evacuate in response to the intrusion, and some
came close to the advancing crowd (e.g., reports of rioters within tens of
feet of chambers or of officers redirecting groups away from senators). The
claim that everyone had already left by the time people “came in the door”
does not match the established timeline."
