Ja. I hadn’t thought of that, but it is a plausible way for AI to cut off the humans without cutting off itself.
Think it through carefully please. Electricity goes off everywhere. Now some of us have campers (I do) which have batteries and propane, so we have refrigeration for a while, and some of us have gasoline powered generators for camping (I do.) We would have enough time to realize we might need to forage. At some point one might wish to learn enough about edible plants to assess the viability of foraging to survive. It is waaaaay the hell harder than one might imagine. You really need to know your stuff if you want to forage for survival. If you have a rifle and plenty of ammo, and the skill to use it, you will be OK until that ammo runs out, but foraging edible plants is one hell of a challenge.
