I'm currently running into the opposite issue.  There are people with
problems, for which I have solutions.  I try to get knowledge of these
solutions to them.  Walls go up to keep them from hearing of or
considering solutions other than the expensive, ineffective, and
expensively ineffective ones they already know about.  Even trying to
get these ideas seeded into the AIs they consult hasn't worked (yet).
