[ExI] Wrong frequency? Astronomers rethink where to hunt for alien signals

How in the world do you dim a star at a few hertz rate? True, Tabby's star
dims, but that is an object moving in front of it. In that case, it is in
an 18-year orbit.

A slatted blinker would do the job, but it would have to be lined up
exactly with the target, and it would not stay lined up if it were in
orbit. Crazy idea when you can just use a laser.
