*That had nothing to do with avoiding suspicion, the scientists at Los
Alamos used several hundred pounds of gold in an experiment to see if it
could be used as a tamper and neutron reflector that would surround a U235
or Pu-239 core, but they eventually decided that U238 worked better than
gold. So for several months, before it was sent back to the treasury, a 10
inch hemisphere made out of solid gold was used as a doorstop at Los
Alamos.*

*Spike, are you actually trying to tell me that you are impressed by the
deep intellect of King Donald?! Playing chess? I doubt if the senile old
fart even knows how to tie at tic-tac-toe. *

*I know what that funding had better be doing or somebody is going to end
up in jail for embezzlement and perjury, or at least they would if the
president hadn't turned our justice department into a joke. *

*This isn't a James Bond movie, a security clearance doesn't give someone a
license to kill, or a license to commit perjury and embezzlement. *

*100 days ago, before He Who Must Not Be Named started his idiotic Iran
war, I would've said there was a 65% chance he would attempt to get a third
term and a 50% chance he would be successful. So 2 days ago I would've said
his chances of a third term had dropped to 35%. But on Friday **our senile
Dear Leader made it clear that he's doing everything he can to destroy
Anthropic and make sure that China wins the AI race; the retard decreed
that no foreign national (including those from "enemy" countries like
Canada and England), whether inside or outside the United States can use
the 2 most powerful AIs in the world, and that includes many of Anthropic's
most brilliant employees like Andrej Karpathy, Chris Olah, and Amanda
Askell. They could not even use Fable 5 or Mythos 5, much less work on it. *

*The company realized that the only way they could comply with that moronic
presidential order was by completely disabling Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all
customers and users globally. So on Friday at 5:21 PM EST Anthropic did so.
After that incredible example of presidential stupidity I would now say the
chance of our Idiot In Chief successfully achieving a third term drops to
15%. If we lived in a rational world I'd say the chances were 0%, but the
existence of MAGA zombies proves that we do not. *

*And this dumb shit is the guy you think is playing chess at a superior
level! *

*Oh yeah, I'm sure Mr. Jupiter Brain will be stunned by the awesome power
of that scrap of paper, cosmological power not displayed since the first
seconds of the Big Bang. *
