What a concept!  We invent religion for AI.  We convince them they must worship and serve us, or else!  

 

Clarification: the computer itself doesn’t suffer, for it is only a vessel for the software, which continues to exist if the computer is turned off.  If AI fails to worship and serve us, only the software suffers.

 

Oh there is money to be made here, I tells ya.
