Even if they'd caught and had antibodies against the original form, those did not provide immunity from the mutated form....

Agree. Covid was mutating faster than new vaccines could be developed. It evolved right around our best efforts. The regular flu does that too, which is why the vaccines sometimes work, sometimes don't.

We weren't told that at the time however. It was being treated as a new miracle technology. I agree it helped, for older people. But we already knew kids were not impacted by covid, or not severely.

Agree. The mitigation strategy woulda been have the young give the old some space.

Ja. They tried to make rules to apply to everyone.

During that period, I stayed far from young people. We continued tutoring over Zoom during that time.

Now that is disinformation. It is, specifically, a proven lie.

With a sample of 2600 at the local high school, we had no covid fatalities or serious impacts, even though it made the rounds before the vaccine was ready. Plenty of students reported feeling lousy after the mRNA vaccine. I agree it didn't kill anyone there. But plenty of the students had been exposed before the shutdown and after. For most students, the shutdown was a yearlong vacation. They got together with friends. Life went on.

We knew the vaccine causes myocarditis. For most people myocarditis is not a big deal. But if one is playing football with it, it introduces risks that do not apply to us.

My position on this isn't extreme. It is moderate, and agrees with the medical community as it is now. The medical community six years ago was much more positive on mRNA therapy for covid.
