It IS surprising to me.  I am very disappointed in the four originalists on the SCOTUS, Thomas, Gorsuch, Barrett and Kavanaugh, for going along with this decision.  Of course the 4th amendment disallows this, very specifically.

I would think the news media would be yakking about this constantly.
