It isn’t just the POTUS John.  Wind farms at sea will face constant trouble from the environmentalists, in particular two powerful factions, the bird people and the whale people.  In addition, the sea based wind farms face trouble from the boating crowd, which is growing as people get more prosperous.  You get resistance from the powerful and wealthy who live along shorelines, where they can see the turbines.  Sea based wind farms start out facing a steep climb.

 

Wind farms belong on land, far from population centers.

 

>…Can't you just admit the obvious and say that it was brain dead dumb for President Don Quixote to give $2 billion dollars of taxpayer money to a foreign company to get them to STOP building a wind farm that was nearly completed? Do you really have to defend everything the man does no matter how stupid?
