OK so how does CNN figure that they are “press” and have a constitutional right to access the White House, but these thousand TwitterXers don’t?  There are at least a thousand proles who are now more pressy than CNN.

But here’s another take on it, which is in CNN’s favor.  Before the ban, if they wrote negative stories about POTUS, they had to be careful to not get their press invitation revoked.  This would perhaps compel them to biased reporting.  But now that this threat has been carried out and is off the table, CNN is free to write negative stories about POTUS.  They are now free!  They can tell us what they really feel.  This will surely cause their sagging ratings to rebound.  Perhaps they can regain their place as the political news leader.
