Please note that this isn't new. Students, workers and soldiers have
been using amphetamines to assist physical and mental labour for
decades, and South American natives have been chewing coca leaves for
the same reason for centuries. Ritalin (methylphenidate) is not
fundamentally different in its pharmacology from the amphetamines or
cocaine that get people locked up, despite what drug company marketing
would have you believe.
