Hi Anna,

Damien has made a good point in the past few weeks. With many of us, psi is
something with which we will never agree *even if we do see it with our own
eyes* as evidenced by my own disinterest in really studying the available
data. I confess it freely: if I have no theoretical basis for an
explanation, even a far-fetched one, I would necessarily assume I was
misunderstanding something fundamental about the test or the data. The
outcome of the Nolan sisters experiment is a good example; I don't know why
the result came out that way, like their music anyway.

Damien has a book in which he suggests some possible theoretical basis for
otherwise unexplainable phenomena, but I haven't made the effort to read it.

Regarding seeing it with their own eyes, should Marley's ghost appear to me
in the night, I would not be the least frightened, for I could only assume
either wildly sophisticated trickery for the purpose of humor (which I
myself have been known to engage) or halucination, for I know as firmly as I
know anything that ghosts are not real. I would know this just as firmly
even if Marley's ghost were to appear making comments such as "Eh mon!
Lighten up! Eets Chreestmahhsss!"
