The upcoming US presidential elections will choose a less powerful and
therefore less corrupt candidate.  The libertarian candidate has little
chance, so it is Lionel Hutz vs Ned Flanders this time.  If the apparently
competent but unpopular Flanders is elected, he will have little influence
on the senate.  If the popular but ineffective Hutz is re-elected, he will
have little or no influence on the house of representatives.  Either way,
the office of the presidency is weakened, which is a good thing, for it
makes that critical office less corrupt.
