author-pushing-his-new-scary-book piece you'd expect from The Post. On the
other hand, a lot of the scary stuff is true. Stuff like:

*Most of us, Olmsted writes, have never actually tasted real olive oil.*

Is at least hyperbolic if not outright false.

Caveat emptor. Grow and prepare as much of your food as you can. Buy from
local farmers you trust. Know which food labels have meaning and which are
pure BS. Etc.
